GETTING TO MOONDANCE BAY IS EASY Moondance Bay Resort is conveniently located off Highway 24 in the community of Bridge Lake in the South Cariboo Region of British Columbia, Canada. With paved roads leading nearly right to our entrance, getting to the Resort can be either direct and efficient or leisurely and scenic, depending entirely on your plans. Driving from Vancouver, BC: The Quickest Route: Take Hwy 1 East, Coquihalla Toll Hwy through Kamloops. Take the Hwy 5 North exit (Jasper) just as you are leaving Kamloops. Follow 5 North to Little Fort (approx. 1 hour). At Little Fort, turn left onto Hwy 24. Follow Hwy 24 heading west to Bell Road (approx. 54 km). Turn right on Bell Road which bends into Johnstone Road, and in a few short minutes you will arrive at Moondance Bay. For paved road access, instead of turning right on Bell Road, stay on Hwy 24 for another 5 kms and turn right on Shertenlib Road, left on Judson Road, right on North Bridge Lake Road and right on Johnstone Road. (Total distance from Hwy 24 is 5.4 kms.) Approximate travel time: 5 to 5.5 hours. Alternative Route Through the Fraser Canyon: Take Hwy 1 East. Stay on Hwy 1 through Hope heading North to Cache Creek. Take 97 North towards 100 Mile House. At 93 Mile House, turn right onto Hwy 24. Follow Hwy 24 heading east to Shertenlib Road (approx. 37 km). Turn left on Shertenlib Road, and follow to Judson Road (approx 0.9 km). Turn left on Judson Road. Follow to North Bridge Lake Road (approx 0.7 km), turn right and head east to Johnstone Road (approx 3.8 km). Turn right on Johnstone Road, and in a few short mintues you will arrive at Moondance Bay. Approximate travel time: 5.25 to 5.75 The Most Scenic Route: Take Hwy 99 "The Sea to Sky Hwy" North through the Resort town of Whistler. Travel the historic "Gold Rush Trail" through Lillooet to Hat Creek Ranch. At Hat Creek Ranch follow Hwy 97 North towards 100 Mile House. At 93 Mile House, turn right onto Hwy 24 heading east to Shertenlib Road (approx. 37 km). Turn left on Shertenlib Road, and follow to Judson Road (approx 0.9 km). Turn left on Judson Road. Follow to North Bridge Lake Road (approx 0.7 km), turn right and head east to Johnstone Road (approx 3.8 km). Turn right on Johnstone Road, and in a few short mintues you will arrive at Moondance Bay. Approximate travel time: 6 to 6.5 hours if you drive straight through... but you'll want to stop to enjoy the views along the way! Driving from other Locations: Please refer to our Hwy Map. If you need assistance, please contact us. By Airplane: From Vancouver, BC: The nearest landing strip is located at 108 Mile, about 45 minutes from Moondance Bay. Charter flights providing service directly from Vancouver to 108 are available for booking. (Ask us to refer you to these airlines). We would be pleased to pick you and your party up at the Airport at 108 Mile, for a small charge. Please contact us to assist you with arrangements. Approximate flight time: 1 hour. Alternate Suggestion: You may also fly from the nearest convenient location to you to Kamloops, B.C. and rent a vehicle for the last part of the trip. The drive from Kamloops (Hwy 5 North to Little Fort, and onto Hwy 24 - see 'The Quickest Route') is both enjoyable and scenic. Approximate driving time from Kamloops is 1.5 to 1.75 hours. Add flight time for total travel time.
