SUMMER FUN FOR EVERYONE
Sports | Attractions

Moondance Bay Resort and the surrounding area offer year round opportunities for nature-lovers, sports enthusiasts, fishermen, arts & crafts followers, and, of course, those interested in enjoying the peaceful, natural setting for rest & relaxation. Here are just a few of the many ways for you to enjoy the flora and fauna, sports activities, and local attractions.

Enjoy the Natural Beauty and Wildlife in the Area

Best viewed on nature hikes or walks, the South Cariboo offers some of the most spectacular scenery and wildlife viewing opportunities.

In the spring and summer, enjoy the wonderful array of wildflowers in the meadows, including daisies, Indian paintbrush, ladyslippers and lupins abound. Deer graze on the grassy meadows and hummingbirds are plentiful.

Catch a glimpse of the bald eagles that nest nearby. In the evening, hear the haunting cry of the loon echoing throughout the bay.

Look up at the brilliant stars in the land known as 'big sky' country, and watch the moonlight as it dances on the peaceful waters of Bridge Lake. Now you know why it's called 'Moondance Bay'.

In the fall, the leaves on the aspen trees turn from bright green to brilliant yellow, igniting blue skies with their vibrant colour, and providing a wonderful contrast with the dark green pine trees. Don't miss this spectacular season and be sure to bring your camera!
